| If there are no vacuum leaks, your hard idle RPM should drop down as low as you want by setting the idle adj screw on the side of the IACV unit. If it does, then I think the ECU is set to keep the 'soft' idle too high. I experienced the very same issue after installing new Nismo 740s and new EProm. The same project as you did (and my Ari Regulator is also new OEM). At first I thought maybe I had an air leak and chip was sending extra much fuel to match. Like your situation, the idle would not come down below 900 RPM... even when the idle screw was seated completely closed. However, after disconnecting the IACV-ECU link, the idle dropped immediately to 700 RPM I am running now w/ the IACV connector disconnected and it idles smoothly down to as low as 550-600 RPM; and w/o any other problems as far as the rest of the power curve or drivability. I am going to get my chip(s) double checked and probably recalibrated to give me a lower soft idle.
